Enhancement of Soft Core Processor Clock Synchronization DDR Controller and SDRAM by Using RISC Architecture

Authors: Sushmita Bilani, Mr. Sujeet Mishra

Abstract: – With the ongoing advancements in the present VLSI industry System-on-Chip (SoC) is allowed to integrate multiple complex functions into a single chip, but still demand a single and shared main off-chip SDRAM for data storage. Consequently, the main memory controller has become an important factor in determining the overall system performance. It is a tough job to choose a memory controller that meets the exact demands of the whole system design. The Single Data Rate (SDR) SDRAM controller is to receive read and write requests, to generate the proper commands and to control the data bus of SDRAM. A 32-bit length Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) is generates random number patterns automatically and those patterns are fed to the SDRAM and stored in it. The core controller then performs read/write operations to access the data stored in the memory banks. The core also performs all initialization and refresh functions. In this paper, we emphasized the designing of SDRAM controller architecture and its Interfacing with LFSR and SDR SDRAM. The design is described using VHDL language and simulations, resource utilization and power analysis are done in Xilinx ISE 14.5 and Modelsim 10.1b.

Abstract: – An adequate water supply is important for plant growth. We know people do not pour the water on to the plants in their garden when they go to vacation or often forget to water plants. As a result, there is a chance to get the pants damaged. In the proposed system we implement sensors which detect the moisture level in the soil. The proposed system is a microcontroller based design which controls the water supply. Soil moisture sensor measure the volumetric water content in soil by using property of soil such as electrical resistance, dielectric constant, or interaction with neutrons, as a proxy for the moisture content. Moisture readings are continuously monitored. If the moisture level is found to be below the desired level, the moisture sensor sends the signal to the Arduino board which triggers the water pump to turn On and supply the water to respective plant. When the desired moisture level is reached, the system halts on its own and the water pump is turned Off.

Authors:M.Tech.Scholar Neha Chhipa, Asst. Prof. Krishnakant Sharma

Abstract:–An Instrumentation Amplifier 16-bit pipelined analog-to digital converter (ADC) is designed in this Report. The pipelined architecture realizes the high-speed and high-resolution. To reduce some complexities of flash ADC pipeline ADC is used. The calibration schemes of pipelined ADC limit absolute and relative accuracy. Deviations in residue amplifier gain results due to low intrinsic gain of transistors, and mismatching between all the capacitors of capacitance 1pF result in both deviations in residue amplifier gain and DAC nonlinearity in a pipelined ADC. To image the world, a low-power CMOS image sensor array is required in the vision processor. The image Instrumentation Amplifier array is typically formed through photo diodes and analog to digital converter (ADC). To achieve low power acquisition, a low-power mid-resolution ADC is necessary. Digital correction allows also to use very low power dynamic comparators. The multiplying D/A converters (MDACs) utilize a modified folded dynamic amplifier.
