Abstract: The cloud-based deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has been a big advancement, creating a strong need for dependable data governance and intelligent analytics that can aid in enterprise decision making. While Workday offers extensive reporting options, numerous data quality and governance compliance, metadata management, security and reporting efficiency challenges exist with Workday reporting. Current governance models are mostly designed for enterprise-wide data management and are largely inapplicable to Workday reporting environments. The paper presents an Advanced Data Governance and Analytics Architecture for Workday Reporting Ecosystems (ADGA-WRE) to bring together data governance policies, metadata management, data quality assessment, access control, compliance monitoring, and intelligent analytics in a single cloud-based architecture. The proposed architecture provides automated validation of governance, improved efficiency, scalability, and enterprise decision support by enhancing the accuracy of reporting, governance efficiency, and optimized analytical processing. The framework is assessed by comparing it to existing governance frameworks such as: DAMA-DMBOK2, Weber's Data Governance Model, Yebenes and Zorrilla Framework and IBM Information Governance. Results of the experiments confirm that the proposed architecture is able to provide better reporting accuracy, better data quality, higher governance compliance, shorter report generation time, and better scalability. The proposed framework is rapidly and reliably applicable for today's Workday reporting environment, and enables secure, intelligent and governance-based enterprise reporting.
